À l’origine, la « Black Dot Campaign » a été créée en 2015 en Grande-Bretagne, de façon informelle sur Facebook par une ex-victime de violences conjugales
qui a souhaité conserver l’anonymat.

Le principe est simple : avec un point noir dessiné sur la paume
de la main
(avec un crayon à
maquillage par exemple), puis en montrant discrètement ce signal à une personne de confiance,
on lance un appel à
l’aide pour violence.s et on exprime une difficulté à en parler librement.

Originally, the Black Dot Campaign was created in 2015
in Britain, informally
on Facebook by an ex-victim of domestic violence
who wished
to remain anonymous.

The principle is simple :
with a black dot drawn
in the palm of the hand
(with a make-up pencil,
for example), then
showing this signal to a trusted person, is launching
a call for help for violence.s, and tells a difficulty
to talk about it.
The person who receives
the message has the mission to discretely
engage a conversation
and help the victim to get in touch with competent
services.

Lors de sa création en 2015,
la démarche – donc le code –
a été médiatisée en Angleterre,
en Italie, en Espagne,
aux USA, mais l'information
n'est pas arrivée
jusqu'en France.
En hommage à
une femme anglaise,
la campagne
#lepointnoir #blackdotfrance
s'est installée dans l'hexagone d'octobre 2017 à mai 2022
pour faire connaître le code
du point noir en France.
De notre côté, nous travaillons
pour faire connaitre le code aux professionnels français
via nos réseaux et ceux
de nos partenaires.
