WHAT TO DO

if someone shows me the black dot ?

If you are in front of a person showing the black dot :

Understand that this person really trusts you.

This black point expresses a difficulty in approaching the subject.

It will be necessary to be the one who creates the climate of the easy speech (If you do not feel like receiving this message alone, take advice from your best friend - do not disclose the identity of the person without her/his consent).

Organize yourself discreetly to meet the person alone, and listen to what is said. Try to convince her/him to accompany you to see competent associations or services.

Be aware that the person can change their point of view without notice.

If you are unable to be alone with the person, offer him or her by telephone to contact the appropriate services.

Do not do anything without his consent.

Be aware that the person can change their point of view without notice.

If nothing is improving and you do not feel able to change the situation,

go and seek help from specialized associations or social services,

you will not have to disclose the identity of the person,

and you will get valuable advice on how to behave to help him or her better.

Be aware that the person can change their point of view without notice.

"Finally, the most important :

SAFETY MUST ALWAYS COME FIRST

if you see a black dot or are approached by someone for help,

if safe do so take them to safety, and get them in contact the relevant agency.

Intervention and support should only be done by professionals".*
